Halloween Hoopers
First up is Camila L. as Bat Girl. The costume won’t get in the way of dancing which is a crucial aspect for prop spinning, and the super-hero yellow hoop creates a perfect working accessory.
Next is Sarah M. with a new twist on a classic Halloween costume. You can imagine her bewitching people with a unique circular “wand”. Hoop dance is magic after all...
This is Lars C. as Indiana Jones. The most clever part of this costume is the black coiled travel hoop disguised as a coiled whip on Indiana’s shoulder. Lars drew the inspiration for this from another #ICHooper, so we want to take the time to pass along this message of gratitude for such a great costume idea. Thank you, unidentified hooper, we’d love find you again!
This is Amber S. color coordinating her hoop with her costume. A character with a strong color scheme, like the Cheshire Cat, makes for an awesome Halloween hoop costume. You can buy any color hoop you want, or you can look at the color of the hoops you already have and base your inspiration on them.
Ring Master Brandi M. blew us away with her beautifully composed costume.
This is another ingenious hoop-compatible costume for the books.
Lastly, we get to show you the amazing skill in makeup use of Charlotte D. Not only does she color coordinate flawlessly with a theme of blue, she also eloquently transforms a popular costume. Charlotte took this selfie before her Halloween fire performance with a local circus.
If you’re still uncertain about what you might be this year remember to be creative, even common costumes can be given an entirely new spin by adding a prop. Remember to think about strong color schemes, active characters, and chances to use masks or makeup.
